Mountain Lake
The first Anza campsite on the present-day San Francisco peninsula.

The Anza colonizing expedition arrived at Mountain Lake, their first campsite in present-day San Francisco at the south edge of the National Park Service Presidio of San Francisco grounds. The expedition went on to select sites for the founding of the Spanish presidio and mission. .
