The Apache tribe of Indians were prevalent in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, and were part of a larger group which anthropologists refer to as "Athabaskans," which also included the Navajos.  There were many factions of Apaches.  These were the Jicarillo Apache.
